Message from the Director
Dear Bayimba friends and fans,
Another Bayimba season – we are counting six now – has come to a successful end. Also this sixth season was fully packed with action and excitement, with a range of festivals and events and plenty of training opportunities on offer. We are delighted that an increasing number of audiences got to experience Bayimba and that a wide range of artists and stakeholders continue to benefit from our arts education programme.
It is always an immense pleasure to look back at a successful season, not to get comfortable and complacent but as a challenge and inspiration to making the next one even more memorable. Because Bayimba is on a constant journey, determined to make further investments in sector development together with our growing national, regional and international network of partners and supporters, striving to leave that lasting mark on the sector and society at large.
It cannot go unmentioned that without our partners and supporters Bayimba would not have been able to make the impact it has made thus far. We are delighted that our long-term supporters have been with us throughout, but we are equally grateful for the increasing interest and support from the corporate world, especially towards our annual highlight, the Bayimba International Festival.
It is with this trust put into Bayimba that our team continues to take up the rewarding task of delivering yet another eventful
season. You are therefore invited to be with us in our seventh season, as a new or old friend! And we are looking forward to
greeting you (again)!
