Frank Othembi holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, a Diploma in Legal Practice of the Law Development Centre and a Master of Laws from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration at the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute in Arusha, Tanzania as well as diplomas in Managerial Control and Management Information Systems at the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands and in Public Administration at the Uganda Management Institute. Frank is currently the Secretary at the Uganda Law Reform Commission and the Chief Executive and Accounting Officer. Prior to this, he was Registrar for Education at the Judicial Service Commission, a Chief Magistrate within the Judiciary while at the beginning of his career he worked as Legal Assistant for Oloya, Donge & Co. Advocates and as an administrator for the Austria-Judiciary project. Frank is married to Berna Othembi. They have 3 children: Ralph, Amanda and Benjamin. Frank brings a wealth of legal knowledge as well as managerial expertise to Bayimba Cultural Foundation.
